A chapter with Jan Lüdert, Ph.D. "Spatial Conquest by Other Means: Assessing the Belt and Road Initiative’s Geopolitical Impact" is out in print as part of an edited volume with Springer titled "Rebalancing Asia - The Belt and Road Initiative and Indo-Pacific Strategy".
We offers insights into geopolitical shifts resulting from China’s increasing global presence. Crucially, we propose to treat the Belt and Road Initiative as a novel spatial security arrangement and as part of China’s grand strategy for rebalancing global order.
